Good morning, thank you to everyone who has sent in a picture this week. Here are some of your friends children.

Phonics: Let’s see if you can read and write these captions boys and girls.

CLIC : Keep counting to 20 and beyond. Counting in 10 s to 100. Challenge to count in 2s to twenty or even 5 s to 50.

Handwriting: Have fun using shaving foam, or a tray of flour and the formation mat to draw your letters correctly. Remember starting in the correct place is important.

πŸ“š Reading: Collins– Personal login. See if you can find a non fiction book and use the contents page to find new information. Remember you don’t need to read the book in order. Enjoy listening to a favourite story in a quiet place.

πŸ”€ Phonics : igh trigraph. Have a go at these words. Make some word cards and play hide and seek with them in the garden or around the house.

Phonics : Listen to Geraldine πŸ¦’ learning about the trigraph igh. In your purple book, can you write a list of igh words night, sight, light, fight and right.

Breathing : Rainbow breath 🌈

CLIC : Addition 2 and 3 numbers. Have fun playing skittles and adding numbers. Use your number line to help you. (use numbers 1-3 to begin with.)

Understanding the World : Let’s look at shadows. See if you can create shadows using light with some of your toys. Place some white paper behind them and experiment. Try moving them around to get the best shadow. Try using chalk to draw around shadows in the garden.

βœ… Reading : book change day, select a book of your choice from your book band and try the follow on activities. Collins Find a cosy spot to share a favourite book or listen to Clark the shark. I know lots of you like shark stories, stay cool! πŸ˜€ Harry has a bucketful of story videos too online.

Phonics : Sing, shout, or stomp about as you say and see your Aa Bb Cc letter sounds and names. You could make a letter trail around the house or garden or play your favourite splat game.

Measuring : Have a try at some measuring you will need a pen or pencil for this one. Grab a small container and collect objects to measure. ⭐️ Can you choose any 3 items form your piles and order them by height?

Sing and dance : Walk the dinosaur walk.

Phonics : ai digraph words. Can you look, at the sheet below and identify ai words. Now highlight the ai digraph with your coloured pens.

Song and dance: Opposites and more opposites
How many opposites do you now know? Go on an opposites hunt in different rooms.

Literacy – In your purple book decide on 2 dinosaur πŸ¦– fact sentences eg. Some dinosaurs can swim. You can draw a picture too. ⭐️

CLIC: Dinosaur stomps to 20 or more ! πŸ¦– shout out 1 more, the next number from a given number.
Counting on using a number line, have another go at using your number line.
