Hello year 4! This is your last blog post. You have been amazing this year and I have missed you all so much during home learning. I have loved all the work you have been sending through to the office and I hope you have a fun and relaxing holiday. Here are your tasks for today:

  • Geography- Rivers recap- We have now come to the end of our rivers topic and I want to know what you have learnt. Thinking about the features of a river, the different rivers we have located and about waterfalls, I want you to create a poster, a fact file or post a summary on the blog about what you have learnt in this topic.

  • English- SPAG- ConjunctionsWatch the following videos https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zrn796f and choose which of the worksheets to answer in your purple books. If you have already sent in your purple book, you can answer the first sheet on the blog.
  • Knowledge Lesson- Locating rivers– This week you are to research and locate 5 more UK rivers.
  • On the blog, post a comment with 5 UK rivers and the city/town that they are located in.

Hello year 4, here are your tasks for today:

  • Reading and Spelling –  Your new words- transfixed, transport, transatlantic, transform, transplanted, overdone, overcoat, overacted, overexcited, overfilled.
  • Mrs Hopkinson’s/ Mrs Abbott’s group words- didn’t, I’m, can’t, half, animals.
  • English– Handwriting– Using your line guide, copy up the following in your neatest handwriting.
  • Art- Sketching- As we are heading towards the end of year 4, I want you to draw a self portrait. You can draw in any style (lifelike, cartoon, collage).
    Don’t forget to send any work to the office.
