Here are some ideas and opportunities for learning if you are unable to come into school. If you are unsure of any of your login details, please get it touch via the office.

Phonics – below, you will find videos for each of the phonemes that we are revising this week. You can practise recognising and blending these phonemes on Phonics Play.

English – here are our spelling words for this week. Practise them using one of the ideas below. Don’t forget to read your book for at least 15 minutes too.

Maths – play the games I have chosen for you on Education City. This week, we are continuing our learning on numbers 1-10, including finding 1 more and 1 less. On Friday, complete your CLIC and Learn Its challenges on BIGMaths.

Topic – label a picture of a body (get a grown-up to help you draw an outline like the one below) with the following labels.

Maths – play the games I have chosen for you on Education City. This week, we are learning about 2D and 3D shapes and comparing/ordering numbers to 10. On Friday, complete your CLIC and Learn Its challenges on BIGMaths.

Topic – our topic this term is ‘Who am I?’ We are going to be learning all about humans and animals. Spend some time familiarising yourself with our knowledge organiser below.

I can’t believe today is our last day of online learning. Well done for all your efforts over the last few months Year 1, you have been fantastic.

Here are your learning activities for today.

Maths – please complete your CLIC, Learn Its and SAFE challenges on BIGMaths Online.

Art – create a piece of artwork (you can do this any way you wish) that shows some of your favourite memories from Year 1. My favourite memories are…
– Rehearsing and performing our fantastic Nativity Play, ‘Hey Ewe’.
– Learning all about animals and going on a trip to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park.
– Meeting your toys and sharing a Teddy Bear’s picnic with some of them.

Please remember to read for at least 15 minutes.

MFL/Knowledge Lesson – watch the videos on BBC Supermovers about French greetings and Spanish greetings. Can you use some of the phrases you learn during your day today?

Welcome to your final week of online learning!

Here are your learning activities for today.

English – form plurals by adding ‘s’ and ‘es’ in the game on Education City.

Science – create a poster to show the different materials we have learnt about in science this year. It would great if you included an example of an object made from each material. Take a look at the interactive picture on BBC Bitesize for some ideas!

Friday 10.07.20

Well done for working hard everybody!

Here are your learning activities for today.

Maths – revise odd and even numbers on Education City.
If you scroll down, you can watch the recap video.

PSHE – have a chat with your grown-up about the people who help us and keep us safe (the police, doctors etc). Then, draw a picture of one of these people and write a short sentence explaining what they do.
You may also want to watch this video about calling 999 in an emergency.
