Geography – have a chat with your adult about what a map is and what we use them for. Go to Mapfling. On Mapfling, you can search locations and then mark them with different colour pins and add your own labels. You can save the link to your map so you can return to it later if you want to.
Find and pin your home address and Worksop Priory Academy.
What other places can you think of that you could find and pin?
Out of all the places that you’ve pinned…
Which are the closest to each other? Which are the furthest apart?
Which place is closest to your house? Which is the closest to school?

Remember – double the first number, double the zero.
Psssst! Mrs Snowden wants to remind you that double 0 is always 0!

Add in the missing full stops and capital letters for names and ‘I’.

Write some of your own sentences using your name and the names of people in your family. Don’t forget to use capital letters for the names!

RE – watch the second part of this BBC Teach video about the Jewish story of Moses. Retell the story to your adult. Then, draw a picture of Moses and the burning bush and label with adjectives/write a short description about how Moses was feeling.

In the story we read on Collins, the rabbit was cross that the mice were in her house. Pretend you are the rabbit and that you are explaining to Percy how this has made you feel. Write down what you would say.
You will need to use the word ‘I’.
See if you can use an exclamation mark too!

History – as part of our ‘Change’ topic, we’re going to be learning about how life in the home has changed over the last 100 years. Create a poster to show some of the things you have/do in your homes today.
For example: wash clothes in a washing machine, play video games etc.
Have a chat with your adult… what did they have/do in their homes when they were little that was the same as you and different from you? See what other questions you can ask your adult to find our more about the past.

Thank you to everyone for your patience with the Collins online learning: access was much better yesterday and I’m pleased to say that lots of children were able to access and submit their work. There are peak times in the day when the site struggles to cope with lots and lots of children across the country trying to log on at the same time but the team at Collins are working hard to get it sorted. They will soon have everything running smoothly so your patience is appreciated. If you do run into difficulties today, please leave it a while and try again a bit later. If you can’t access today’s task, practise the following double letter words in your purple book and put them into your own sentences…
